Our Mission
Our Story
In the Summer of 2021, my Grandmother was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. When I heard from my Mother about the diagnosis, I was deeply concerned for my Grandmother's well-being. At the age of eleven, I had never heard of Parkinson’s disease and wanted to learn more, so I could better understand what my Grandmother was going through. However, due to my limited knowledge as a sixth-grader, I struggled to find information that I could understand about Parkinson's disease.
In the Summer of 2024, before my freshman year in high school, I founded an organization called "Kids for Parkinson's™" in order to educate children about Parkinson’s disease. It is my goal to help children more easily understand Parkinson's disease and how it might affect their family members and those around them, and how they can help those people affected by Parkinson's disease.
